Review of Oblivion (2013) by Walter M — 26 Aug 2015

I found it promised more than it gave, I was really excited to see this movie but came away not feeling quite satisfied.

There were some really cool ideas in there that perhaps should have been focused on more as the main plot, and the overall design and look of the movie was certainly nothing to complain about, but that isn't enough to carry the film into being amazing.

It just seemed to be a little cliche, with innovative ideas being touched upon but not addressed enough to make you come away feeling inspired or amazed; mostly it was all typical sci fi stuff you will have seen before.

Great as an introduction to the genre, but for sci fi fans looking for something new, this won't get you too excited.
