Review of Oasis of the Zombies (1982) by Dougal S — 27 Oct 2009
Oh dear. This is bad even by Jess Franco's standards. It looks like something he knocked together in his lunch break. A pointless plot about nazi -zombies protecting some buried gold in - you guessed it - an oasis, who pop up from time to time to off various people who come to try and find it.
Slow moving scenes, clunky dialogue and shoddy camera work add to the amaturish nature of it all. There's not even the seedy exploitation or gut munching gore of other Franco outings to keep you amused.
a pointless waste of celluloid!
