Review of O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) by Kim B — 01 Apr 2012
I liked it because it was really original in style and it was smartly done. I had thought this movie was going to be a musical, but it wasn't. It just had a lot of music incorporated into the film.
I liked the old Southern music style and the main song was very catchy. The characters were good and interesting, especially the unusually smart criminal Everett. The setting was done well for that era and the narrative moved along quickly at a good pace.
It was funny in it's quirkiness and irony. I liked how everything tied together, but wasn't so predictable. I also liked the play on famous characters from the past.
