Review of O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) by Byron B — 01 Aug 2013
I don't listen to country-bluegrass music, but this soundtrack was so well done. The Sepia tone gives a good flavor, and I love The Odyssey parallels. The Coen Brothers have concocted such a fun adventure with Clooney, Turturro, and Nelson as 1930's chain-gang escapees, who encounter a "cyclops," "sirens," depression era cops and robbers, and lynch mobs.
It is all set to music produced by T-Bone Burnett.
