Review of O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) by Jesús G — 17 May 2011
This movie was okay. It was far from bad -- the montages were great, the plot parallels with the Odyssey overjoyed my inner nerd, and the folk/bluegrass/blues soundtrack was superb --, but it just felt like something was missing.
It just wasn't nearly as good as the other Coen brothers' movies that I've seen. That's not to say, though, that I was completely disappointed, because I wasn't. A lot of people found it funny and enjoyable, so I guess you would have to watch for yourself and see.
