Review of O (2001) by Anthony I — 03 Jun 2007
This is one of the best adaptations of a Shakespeare play. It doesn't dictate, it doesn't leave you feeling adequate, it doesn't make you angry but it certainly givesyou something to mull over.
Actors - especially Julia Stiles - are well cast and suit their roles perfectly. If you know the story of Othello, and want to see it modernised and done justice, see this movie. If you hate Shakespeare - well, still see it :o).
