Review of Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000) by Steven G — 14 Jun 2014
The first film wasn't that refined to start with, but this sequel makes it look like a masterpiece in subtlety. The same types of fat jokes are done here, but in more obvious, gross ways, and other bizarre types of humor belch their way across the screen too, such as bestiality jokes, incest jokes, and sex jokes.
Plus, every joke has an off sense of timing, as if each gag were rushed and filled with actors who look and act like deer caught in the headlights. The charm of the first film is completely gone, leaving this dead, joyless affair in its wake.
