This movie occurs during a very short span in John Lennon's life, while he was in high school and begins just before he started his band, The Quarymen. It ends as he is leaving for Hamburg. The movie is insightful and sad.
It ends with a song John wrote and recorded after he split with the Beatles: Mother. The actors are all good in this movie.
