Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Danny D — 24 Dec 2010
Ok so it's maybe not the artsy piece of genius some folk wanted, to match the genius of Lennon; but you know what, it's as realistic and unpretentious as Lennon's life probably was at that time.
The music's great, and Johnson, Scott-Thomas and Duff all give beautifully absorbing performances as the young John, his uptight aunt who brought him up, and his enigmatic mum. My whole family watched it and we all loved it.
Definitely one for any Beatles fan!
