Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Martha C — 02 Feb 2011
Nicely done, with attention to little details, such as John Lennon's habit of reading with his leg resting up his bedroom wall. Aaron Johnson is a bit too pretty for John, but he's compelling enough that you soon forget this.
Usual wonderful British cast, particularly David Threlfall, David Morrisey, Ann-Marie Duff and Kristen Scott Thomas. My main quibble is Thomas Sangster as Paul McCartney; he's a fine young actor but miscast here, I think.
