Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Daisy M — 03 Feb 2011
Nowhere Boy was the documentary of John Lennon, showing his teenager years in Liverpool, the emotional effect his mother and aunt had on his adolescence. and his rise as an musician. The movie was not just that and being pleasant, but also gave a very objective look at him, showing that he wasn't a saint, and portrayed him times very aggressive, particularly in his treatment with his family and his friends.
Aaron Johnson was John Lennon, he brought the musical god alive, setting up who he was and what he stood for. Together with the cast members they provide their singing voices, gave pleasure with his arrogance and by showing some serious competition with Paul Mc Cartney in their early years.
Nowhere Boy was a fictional dramatization of Lennon's life, but had plenty positives starting with the songs to acting, which made this a delight to watch.
