Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Tim S — 06 Mar 2011
An interesting British indie focusing over the paternal influences and fights over the upbringing of John Lennon and how his aunt and mother have had strong influences on his music and rebelliious spirit.
The star of the picture has to be Kristen Scott Thomas as Aunt Mimi trying to enforce stability in his life and protect him from the harsh truths of his younger years. Not an all time classic but cool to see a different perspective on an iconic character.
