Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Sarah B — 21 May 2011
Ok so I don't even like the Beatles, and John is my least favorite. But I like Aaron Johnson and Kristin Scott Thomas, which is why I saw it. (99% because of Aaron Johnson). That being said, I actually really liked this movie, because aside from the fact that the kid's name is "John Lennon", I wouldn't have known that this was even about him.
I don't know anything about his history, so to me, this was just sort of like a story about a high schooler in England during the 50's, with a troubled family, who's really into rock and roll.
It was entertaining, and the acting was very good.
