Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by William K — 26 Jul 2011
After seeing Aaron Johnson in Kick-Ass, this one took me by a pleasant surprise. Incredible performance. This story, even if it wasn't about John Lennon had a great potential. By including the great man into the picture, it just got elevated by leaps and bounds.
An appropriate time of his life was chosen and it does not deviate, which is so easy to. A side of John Lennon most fans would not have known, it's just a story of a teenage boy going through his share of reality and circumstances which made him the person he is.
Overall terrific performances all round, a guaranteed sweet soundtrack with a confident narration tells an amazing story of one of the most popular and influential personalities of the world in a way he deserves.
