Review of Now You See Me 2 (2016) by David O — 12 Jul 2016
A fun sequel that, unfortunately lacks the energy and charm of the first movie as it ups the stakes for our characters. Although there is much to like including the great introduction of new engaging and real characters, the shaky middle act and odd characters choices coupled with it's wanting to show off every form of magic makes this a less thrilling film.
The film however is saved by its finale that gives us the fun and pace that perhaps shouldn't have been taken from us to begin with.
