Drags in pretty much all the standard tropes of the sequel (exotic new locations! The revenge of the wronged party from the first one!) with perhaps a fifty percent hit rate. At times cleaves closer to Mission Impossible than the imperfect but original first instalment and is all the worse for it.
Pushes the envelope too far with obviously CGI feats of legerdemain and a finale that's supposed to be an underground pop-up event that would obviously have required a worldwide staff to rival the Olympic Games.
