Not really much of an improvement over the first one. There's just too much going on. The thing that makes movies like The Prestige and The Illusionist work is that while the magic tricks and their explanations in those movies are unrealistic, they're still in a way believable and shocking and the tricks themselves are impressive.

Everything in Now you see me and it's sequel is just downright ridiculous to a point where it's exhausting. There's no real build-up, there's no investment from me personally because I already know that everything happening in the movie is done with CGI, and it's all so predictable.
