Review of Now You See Me 2 (2016) by Des S — 04 May 2017
This sequel to an amazing movie is merely an average one. The theatrics are not as dramatic, the magic is not as astonishing, and the new lady of the Horseman is more annoying than anything else. This is pretty much just a money grab - the explanations for certain situations (such as the missing Henley and the reveal at the end about Thaddeus and Lionel) don't ring true.
Not a bad movie, but not a good one either. Disappointing.
