Steven Knight wrote a film littered with weaknesses: the coming-of-age story about a teen couple who in NYC is tossed between the yet to be discovered sexuality and the death that inevitably returns. The meta-cinematography of the mockumentary is annoying, David Bowie as an existential model seems exaggerated to me, and the two protagonists struggle to interact credibly.
