Review of November (2007) by Shala T — 06 Jun 2007
As a summary for this movie, "November" follows Sophie (Courteney Cox-Arquette) who lost her boyfriend in a convenience store robbery and she must cope with his murder. As she does so, however, the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred..
Nah, I wished I would have passed on this one. "November" is a classic example of a movie with a great idea, interesting editing to support the great idea, but poor execution. The movie is meant to be confusing and strange and not until the end do you get the clear resolution. I like movies like that where you have to think and consider all the possibilities but that wasn't the problem I had with "November". The acting didn't push the emotional responses needed for this film to be sucessful nor does the film have much visual style or great direction. I would pass this one up if I had the chance again.
