Review of Notting Hill (1999) by Ian F — 17 Jun 2012
Supprisingly a movie with both my favorite actress and my favorite actor was a movie I didn't really like. I felt Robert's character too passive, Grant's character too whinny, and unlike "Four Weddings & A Funeral" where Hugh Grant's friends are cool and funny losers, in this movie his friends are just losers who are funny only some of the time.
Further, no one comes across as natural. It just falls flat for me!
