Review of Notting Hill (1999) by Ronald-Thomas F — 30 Apr 2016
Be warned: This is both my favorite Julie Roberts and Hugh Grant film. Both of whom I enjoy watching on the silver screen. The basic premise is Roberts is an A-List Hollywood star, who falls for an ordinary bookstore owner, Grant.
They obviously come from two very different worlds, but you know from the start that they are destined for each other. Part of the fun is the journey that takes them down that path. A smart, romantic comedy in which the two leads show real chemistry.
Rather funny at times and far from a shallow, one-note movie. Of special note, is the soundtrack which has some truly greats songs that enhances the movie.
