Review of Nothing to Lose (1997) by Marischa B — 26 Apr 2011
Easy Rider, it's not. Thelma & Louise, it's not. TommyBoy, it's not [thank God].
What it is is the nearly always reliable Tim Robbins as a well-to-do guy who, catching wife Kelly Preston in bed with another man, hits the road and inadvertently winds up kidnapping small-time thief Martin Lawrence.
The expected "street-wise African American vs. lily-WASP" banter ensues, with each learning a few life lessons from the other.
Sound familiar?
Yup[pie]...
Worth watching only for the decent perfs from the principals.
