Review of Nothing Like the Holidays (2008) by Jessy F — 06 Nov 2009
Hollywood never stops amazing me on how they insult latinos by misleading their interpretation of what's the latino's image. Let's start by saying that the movie starts with a song by Ricky Martin, who is Puerto Rican (so far, good); but then, later they start to mess up the soundtrack by adding texan style hip hop music in spanish and at the christmas party add a cuban salsa song by Celia Cruz. Hillarious!!
People, if you are portraying an american/puertorican family's holiday, how about only use "puerto ricans musicians!!" Please, do some freaking homework!! Just because puerto ricans are latinos, doesn't mean they resemble mexicans!!
Ah! About the movie itself, well it was good and funny.
