Review of Nothing Like the Holidays (2008) by John-O — 13 Dec 2008
I really did enjoy this. It was so refreshing to see "normal" families in a movie. I never really thought it was a family of Puerto Rican heritage, just an American family and how they deal with Christmas.
Even though I was raised a WASP I really related to this film. I really hope it does well, it was smart, touched me and made me think about a group of people in a way that I hadn't before. SPOILER ALERT: I knew almost from the moment he was accused, Edy was not guilty of adultry, but, I thought he was doing something like buying Anna a house in PR.
I would go see a NLTH 2 if this same ensamble did it, and Edy is in it.
