Review of Nothing Left to Fear (2013) by Adam E — 10 Oct 2013
It's actually a very original story which kept me glued to the screen the entire time. However there was little to no development in characters and the family seemed straight out of a 50's sitcom.
I also kept thinking wtf Anne Heche? Who was given star billing but went totally unnoticed as a housewife that anybody could of played. An actress of her ability had nothing to do. The movie was tailored around the oldest daughter, Rebecca played by Rebekah Brandes.
Basically this reminded me of the Goosebumps episode "Welcome To Dead House". The end of the second act was creepy. It seemed like a very bad nightmare you want to wake up from, but you also want to see where your subconscious mind takes you.
Anthony Leonardi lll is a decent director because there are some cool shots and angles in this. Just not the greatest script in the world. Nothing against Jonathan W.C. Mills who wrote the script. Maybe the material got mishandled in the process.
