Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Colin D — 24 Jan 2009
Decent polictal drama thriller. I watched the trailer and I thought this was worthy of a cinema release, but I was wrong. This is no better than a exspensive DVD rental with A class talent. Acting was exceptional from the two female leads and the supporting cast also did well. Alan Alda was as usual very good in his supporting role as Kate Beckinsale lawyer. But Matt Dillon seemed like he was bored throughout the film and just dragged through his lines like he was going through an audition.
All in all, a decent watch with a good twist and satisfying ending. Not Rod Lurie's best film, but one for a rainy Saturday night when there's nothing but crap on TV.
