Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Chad M — 16 Jun 2009
Really good movie based off of true events but not completely. It isn't too preachy which was nice. The story is very interesting and obviously believable since it's at least loosely based on true events.
It really makes you think as there are many ethical issues brought up in this movie. While some characters may seem like the villian, in reality every character is just doing their job. The movie wasn't predictable at all and kept me guessing right up until the end.
The story slows at a couple points though. The acting for the most part was quite good. I liked Kate Beckinsale and Matt Dillon. After this and "They Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" I'm really starting to like Vera Farminga as well.
I'm surprised this had a very limited release and then went right to DVD. It's definitely a solid movie.
