Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Ashley T — 17 Jun 2009
As a slick political thriller that goes way beyond your typical Law & Order episode, this one has a pulse and a heart. Kate Beckinsale, an actress I've never found to be terribly talented, is really impressive as a journalist who reveals the identity of a CIA operative, then faces prison when she refuses to give up her source.
Not typical to the genre, we actually get to see how her decision to stick to her principles affects her and her family. The solid supporting cast is led by the always awesome Alan Alda.
