Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Erno K — 19 Jul 2009
This is my opinion: Vera Farmiga is one of the most underestimated and underused actors out there. She is one of my favorite female thespians working today, because she always delivers. Usually she even kills, like in this movie. Awesome actress. Kate Beckinsale is very good as well, of course. These two women made this film what it is for me.
Right, the movie... It is very solid. It's so solid, it's basically granite. What the fuck does that mean? I don't know but I can't write about the two lead actresses throughout this review. Damn they are good though. I guess this movie raises some question about freedom of speech and all that jazz. How far are you willing to go for your integrity? I'd totally go across the yard at least.
Mostly I just enjoyed the great performances and drama that unfolded before my eyes, because let me tell you, these two women... Damn! This is probably one of the best movies that no one has ever heard of I've seen this year. Check it out.
The twist at the end is pretty cool too, but I so would have liked to see what happens next, this movie kind of ends prematurely. Still, solid.
