Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Clint G — 12 Aug 2009
Hmmm.
If I were really observant, I would've guessed who THE SOURCE is (was). I love how the story was woven...the turn of events...the way the roles were played...kept me guessing.
The music made me panic...each day added to her being in jail made me pity her, and yet, I wanted to slap her too because she was being damn stubborn. In the middle of the story I was confident that I knew the answer because of who Kate was and why she was admant. Yet, I was wrong.
I love the strength of Rachel Armstrong who was based on the real journalist named Judith Miller who was jailed for contempt of court because she wouldn't reveal her source naming Valerie Plame as a covert CIA operative. Although it was based on real events (the disclaimer of the movie at the start of the film), the rest of the movie was just concocted by Rod Lurie, its writer and director.
