Huge recommendation for the 2008 film Nothing But The Truth with Kate Beckinsale and Matt Dillon.
This is a political drama (although Wikipedia calls it "a thriller") that is incredibly intense. I promise you, you'll be swept away by it.
Without giving too much away, The story centers on a reporter who outs a CIA agent and is imprisoned for refusing to reveal her source. It's amazing what reports do to protect their integrity.
