Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Kareem Y — 29 Jul 2010
Completely blown away by how good this was, considering I'd never heard of it. Granted, it kind of drifts into self-righteous territory here and there, but I still enjoyed this fresh take on journalism and journalists' rights.
The story doesn't drift too far into thriller territory (*cough*State of Play*cough*), staying on point with the legal drama. And Kate Beckinsale will never be a particularly incredible actress, but she's certainly an underrated one.
I found her performance here endearing enough, though the stand outs for me were Noah Wyle and Vera Farmiga.
