Review of Nothing But the Truth (2008) by Emil K — 24 Apr 2009
One hell of a thrilling film that grabs you and will not let you go. It is truly rare to see film that has characters who really feel like true human beings, and Nothing But the Truth is one of those rare gems.
Director Rod Lurie who has made powerful films like The Contender and The Last Castle is at the top of his game as a director/writer here. He even outdoes David Mamet when it comes to writing an dialogue.
Even if this film does go a bit too long for it's own good, it still ranks one of the best thrillers in a long time. And i've got to say that the final revelation is just brilliant and truly makes us understand everything that has gone before in the film.
If you wanna see thriller that truly thrills, then look no further.
