Review of Nothing but the Truth (2008) by Spencer T — 26 Jun 2009

I am a huge fan of Matt Dillon and Kate Beckinsale, but I must say this movie really rubbed me the wrong way. I found myself very excited at the beginning as it started off fantastically. It was intriguing and exciting and the acting throughout the movie was really great but then about half way through the movie I found myself both bored and extremely frustrated at the stagnation of the film.

The plot does not move forward for about 40 minutes, you are sitting in your seat thinking to yourself "what the hell is going on, where is this movie going, I really just want to leave because nothing is happening!".

My frustration ended finally at the end of the movie when the source is finally revealed and you understand the motivation of Kate Beckinsale's actions, but in my opinion it took way to long to arrive at this conclusion and if the movie's script was written tighter and some of the prison scenes were taken out I feel I would enjoy this movie much more.
