A painful, depressing movie which is not saved by the impeccable acting of the main characters. The younger teacher is a thoroughly unappealing priveleged amoral twerp and the character of the older teacher is exaggerated to such an extent that it lost viewer sympathy.

It is thoroughly creepy and the setting is very depressing. All the school scenes have lots of noise and dirt. I can't understand why the teachers don't seem to have a staffromm or their own toilets.

That seems implausable. I also can't believe a rich 40 something year old would rendez vous for sex with a fifteen year old on the ground at night by the railway track. Wouldn't she have got a room? I wanted to enjoy it as the acting was great and I think it achieved what it was trying to very well.

I guess if you like negative films about screwed up people this would be the one for you.
