Review of Notes on a Scandal (2006) by Donna A — 13 Nov 2008
Notes on a Scandal is a extremely well crafted account of a school teacher who falls in love, and has an affair, with a 15 year old boy from her school.
Showcasing that a single mistake can sometimes cost you dearly, this film also surpasses it's intrigueing story by providing incredible attention to character detail.
Featuring Oscar nominated performances by both Judi Dench, and Cate Blanchett (Who give thier characters multi-leveled saturation and the diversity that a movie of such subject matter desperately deserves), Notes on a Scandal is a masterful thriller that will snap you in with it's drama and will keep you completely enraptured the whole way through.
