Review of Notes on a Scandal (2006) by Jason B — 02 Feb 2009
Cate Blanchett is bottom line the best actress of the decade. She can delvier an acting right cross in one line and yet say so much in silence and dispair. This twisted story (you can thank the Brits) is a intruiging look at lonliness and depravity even in places we just assume it cannot exist like -1) a marriage 2) old age.
It's hard to pick which character is more demented but this is a character piece, the plot itself is sorta flat.
