Review of Notes on a Scandal (2006) by Sweet L — 04 Aug 2008
I always wanted to see this movie..never got a chance except yesterday!..
Usually movies I really wana see turn to be bad..But this movie was just ******!
Excellent and crazy performance by both Judi and Cate..How can the academy people prefer Jennifer Hudson over Cate Blanchett in giving the oscar..
As Cate's performance was 100% oscar performace..As well for Judi Dench...She made us feel her pain of loneliness...Really Amazing, legendry actresess.
Incredible movie. I've always been drawn to films that lean towards more psychologically provocative issues. This movie is one of the best in this arena. The story was just so unbelievably beautiful and chilling, it pulls hard on your emotions on so many levels. The solid structuring of the story and the flawless progression of the storyline was really commendable. The director should have won an award on these two things alone. Lastly, the near perfect and unforgettable performances from Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett completed the success that this movie turned-out to be. The way they both ingeniously gave life to their characters and worked seamlessly well with and against one another on screen was so spectacular to watch that you'reliterally going to be pulled to edge of your seat from start to finish, swept in an emotional upheaval for each of them. Both of their awards were very much deserved. On a personal note, I really liked the splendidly eloquent and scathingly bitter narration of Judi Dench of the entire film, especially since I really like well narrated movies. Definitely, this movie is a must-see.
Psychologically and morally controversial.
EXcellent...excellent..excellent!
Simply a must see movie.
