Judi Dench is superbly evil. This is a fascinating tale of what true crime really is. Yes, Cate Blanchett (another brilliant performance) has sex with her student but the real crime is the subtle, skillful stalking of Dench.
Both women are seeking a way out of their lonely lives. Both fail.
