What films are spoofed?
Briefly:
Breakfast Club,(a few of other John Hughes films), and also Cruel Intentions,American Pie, Bring It On.
Alot:
Can't Hardly Wait, She's All That, Varsity Blues.
Not Another Teen Movie, was a pretty good laugh the first time around, for those who know the material being parodied. For the others, or for people who hate trashy, tasteless, and unadulterated comedy, this film is NOT for them. This film has no reason to cater to anyone who doesn't feel inclined to want to view themselves, rather then being forced to watch it by annoying friends.
Not Another Teen Movie could've aged well if they didn't make it such a predictable film. Non-Stop sexual jokes, and humor, that is beyond toilet humor, and could've used a new and fresh update.
"While at first viewing(or constant Comedy Central late-night reruns, Not Another Teen Movie can seem funny, and new, but after just even ONE rewatch, or reviewing, people will really understand why this film didn't age so well, and why it was so easily discarded very shortly after it's release to DVD.".
Trust me. This film is not going to get any more laughs anytime soon. Well unless they make a new 10th anniversary edition and if anyone even buys it.
