Review of Not Another Teen Movie (2001) by James S — 06 Oct 2009
A genius spoof movie that hits the mark evey time. It pokes fun at a genre that needed to be laughed at, but still have some respect for some of the great movies they're making fun of.
The cast is excellent and fit into their cliche roles perfectly. Evans, Leigh, Pressly, Quiad, Olsen, Jungmann, McMains, they all do a great job. Throw in some hilarious cameos from Mr. T, Molly Ringwald, and Paul Gleeson and you've got yourself a great movie.
The story has a perfect mix of movies from the 80s to the 90s which is one of the reasons I like it, cause it's just not a bunch of random sketches and pop culture refrences like the newer spoof movies.
*cough* Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer's movies *cough*.
It's well worth watching if you get the chance so check it out!
END OF CREDITS: Scene shortly after the credits have started and also at the very end of the credits.
"All I said was, "I'm pretending to whisper a big secret in your ear, so Jake here thinks that I'm telling you a big secret, which will cause him to break into a hysterical confession where he actually reveals... a big secret. Thus confirming everything I just whispered in your ear.".
