Its definitely pretty and ominous but a deep boredom drags it down. Adjani's usually magnetic work is here tedious but Klauss Kinski's playing is so creepy it almost saves the movie. But for a great Werner Herzog, skip this, go straight to Aguirre Wrath of God.
