Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Alexander P — 02 Dec 2010
A remake of the 1922 Nosferatu version rather than an adaptation of Stoker's novel, the film takes many liberties with the characters, and - somewhat confusingly - switches names around for no real reason.
More focus is brought to Dracula as a slightly pathetic, lonely creature, but with those nails and ears, that's not gonna change honey... Isabelle Adjani's ethereal beauty suits her part perfectly, becoming almost alien at times.
