Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Andrew B — 15 May 2012
One of my favorite all time horror movies. Mr. Herzog has taken the classic film and remade it with his own style of cinematic mastery. I prefer this one to the original because of Klaus Kinski. Through his portrayal of Count Dracula you really get a sense of a man who doesn't see himself as a powerful monster but a man who has been cursed with something that he wishes that he could rid himself of.
He kills because he has to to survive.
