Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Steve S — 18 Feb 2010
***1/2 (out of four).
Quite possibly the first great horror movie. This classic silent German film remains very creepy with its incredible art direction and stunning cinematography and direction.
A real estate agent visits the creepy mountain castle of Count Orlock. The count wants to move into town. He sees the agents wife and becomes infactuated with her.
I love silent films and this is one of my favorite. Also of interesting note is a version featuring the music of Type O Negative that was released on DVD. No matter what music is played, the film is very good.
