Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Mat K — 07 Mar 2009
STILL the most terrifying screen vampire in a movie filled with iconic imagery and a great use of cinematography, particularly the shadowy ascent up the stairs. A silent masterpiece with Max Schreck giving a chilling performance that is much imitated, but never bettered.
