Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Alec O — 12 Mar 2009
Yeah. It was neat simply because it was a silent film. The granular film and the use of just facial expressions to explain the story really adds something to movies. On the other hand I find that half of the movie I was just making inferences to figure out what was going on.
To be fair I wasn't paying real close attention because it kinda bored me. The english translation was sticky at times and the score made me want to cry. The upbeat offbeat bassy horn sound really doesn't suit the film at all.
But hey what's a few mistakes in the eyes of art? It still beats the twilight movie in any case :D.
