Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Michael R — 28 Sep 2010
Before "Interview With The Vampire," & before "Dracula" there was "Nosferatu." The 1st adaptation of the book "Dracula," written by Bram Stoker is my #7 fav.
horror film of all time. The movie stars the brilliant Max Schreck as the vampire Count Orlok aka Nosferatu. This film which is considered to be the first Horror film is one that might be considered tame by 2day's standard but still gives the audience chills, especially since it is a silent film.
Schreck's performance is haunting and bone chilling and the film is a clear presentation of German expressionism. This film is one that I recommend to all horror film addicts and one that I say is superior to all Vampire films.
