Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Georgios L — 07 May 2011
What can I say about a silent classic that has become legendary? This film is filled with iconic images: Nosferatu's creepy shadow while going up a staircase, Nosferatu jumping out of his coffin, the death boat arriving at the harbour with no person on deck etc etc Sure, it's not as scary as it must have been when it first came out but it still lingers in the mind.
I particularly liked the tinges in the latest eureka dvd.(blue for night-time, red for dawn) Essential!
